My role in the event: Leader of the team, educational planner, presenter, and designer.
What is the Endeavour Tournament?
Every year, the Endeavour Tournament offers the students and the community to bring their ideas to life. In 2021, I was the project leader, responsible for managing the team and planning the event. While planning the event was a big task itself, our staff was also dealing with other projects at the same time, and I had to step up and do the design and communication for the event.
The event happened in 2021, from September 25th to November 13th, divided into 5 online encounters, from group dynamics to keynotes. We had 12 teams participating, and more than 120 people enrolled.

The Concept
The Endeavor Tournament changes shape every year, to follow the latest tendencies in the market. In 2021, we came up with the concept of "galaxies of innovation". The participants would have to choose between three tracks:
– Impact business: projects that have the dual mission of generating a benefit for society and the environment while acting in the market logic and also seeking a financial return from the sale of their products or services. In other words, they are companies that are financially, environmentally and socially sustainable.
– NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations), CSOs (Civil Society Organizations), collectives and associations: projects that have the sole purpose of defending and promoting a political, social or environmental cause. Projects that follow this path are non-profit.
– Intrapreneurship and innovation in existing businesses: projects that seek innovations and new opportunities within existing businesses. The project does not focus on creating a new organization, it focuses on creating new processes and products within a consolidated business.
We invited one entrepreneur guest for each track. They talked at our first live about the challenges and ways to endeavor, and we also developed with them business model canvases (inspired in Alexander Osterwalder's BMC) that embraced particularities of those initiatives.

The participants had to choose what track they would enroll, fill in those canvases and deliver a 3 minute Pitch at the end of the Tournament. During the 2 months, they had one-on-one mentoring sessions with IDEAR's specialists. A board would evaluate the business ideas and the best ones got several awards and prizes to continue developing their companies.
Design
Since the main concept of the Tournament was "innovation galaxies", i came up with the slogan: "a universe of possibilities to awaken change in you and in the world". I used mainly Canva and Adobe Illustrator for the designs.
Each of the planets represent one of the tracks, and I opted for a mixed approach with aquarela-like planets and lineart. The back of the illustration represented the galaxy. The logo followed the University's directives by using the font Gotham. Below you can see some of social media cards representing each track.

I also made animated videos for stories and feed, with the intent of showing how dynamic the event would be. It was also a good resource for sharing more information in WhatsApp groups. You can check an example here:
I made designs also for the e-mail marketing campaign, for the educational environment Moodle (made for the participants to access the materials and videos), Youtube thumbnails, Banners for the University website, live waiting screens, Power Point presentations, Business Model Canvas layouts, etc. I was also responsible for creating all the texts you see in the images.
